If a circular satellite is moved to a higher altitude, how must its speed be adjusted in order to maintain a circular orbit?

A: The satellite will need a greater speed to orbit the Earth in the higher circle.
B: The satellite will need a lesser speed to orbit the Earth in the higher circle.
C: The satellite will orbit the Earth in the higher circle at the same speed as before.
D: Wait! There is no necessary connection between the altitude of the circle and the speed of the satellite!
